LuftWASH

The professional 2-in-1 cleaning and drying tool. Cavitation technology for gentle deep cleaning combined with compressed air drying — all in one ergonomic handgun. 100% E-bike safe.

E-Bike Safe 2-in-1 Function
cycleWASH LuftWASH gun

The power of drops

Two-phase nozzle: fine water droplets carried by high-speed compressed air — up to 8× less water than a traditional nozzle.

The Science

Cavitation — the invisible cleaner

Micro-bubbles form inside the water jet, grow, then implode on the surface — every implosion fires a tiny shockwave cleaning pulse that lifts dirt without scratching.

01

Formation

The two-phase nozzle accelerates droplets that seat into the water film as cavitation nuclei.

02

Growth

Under the local pressure drop, micro-bubbles expand up to 1000× their seed size, storing energy.

03

Implosion

On contact with dirt, bubbles collapse in microseconds — each shockwave lifts particles without touching the paint.

LuftWASH

Professional cavitation cleaning meets compressed air drying

The cycleWASH® LuftWASH is a professional-grade 2-in-1 cleaning and drying tool designed as the ideal companion to every cycleWASH® washing system. Using patented cavitation cleaning technology, the LuftWASH delivers powerful yet gentle deep cleaning without any high-pressure water — making it completely safe for e-bikes, carbon frames, and delicate components.

Three functions in one ergonomic handgun: water cleaning with cavitation micro-bubbles that implode on surfaces to lift dirt, rinsing with a gentle water stream, and compressed air drying to remove all residual moisture from hard-to-reach areas like brake calipers, headsets, and derailleur mechanisms.

The LuftWASH is the essential pre-cleaning and finishing tool — use it before the automated wash cycle for heavily soiled bikes, or after the wash for a spotless, dry finish ready for the customer.

How It Works

Three simple steps to a perfectly clean and dry bicycle

1

Pre-Clean

Point the LuftWASH gun at dirty areas and activate the water function. Cavitation micro-bubbles break down mud, grease, and road grime on contact.

2

Wash

Run the bike through the cycleWASH® automated system for a full semi-automatic or automatic wash cycle with rotating brushes.

3

Dry

Switch to compressed air mode and blow-dry all components. Remove water from hard-to-reach areas for a spotless, ready-to-ride finish.

Key Features

cycleWASH® Station

The Cleaning Station

The cycleWASH mini STATION is built for one job and built to do it thousands of times: robust, self-service bike cleaning in high-traffic public spaces. Bike parks, trailheads, cycle hubs, campsites and municipal stations — anywhere riders arrive muddy and expect to leave clean.

It runs entirely without electricity. Riders roll the bike onto the platform, wash it down by hand, and finish it dry with LuftWash, our air-based drying system — no power connection, no complicated controls, no attendant. Just a fresh-water hook-up in STANDARD mode and a wash that uses roughly one litre of water each time, a fraction of an ordinary hose.

The whole unit is stainless steel, engineered to shrug off weather, grit and constant public use with minimal maintenance. At a compact 146 × 103 × 122 cm it fits a 4 × 3 m footprint, and its ~100 kg build stays put exactly where you install it. Self-service by design, it turns bike cleaning into a service you offer without adding a task to anyone's day.

Questions Customers Ask Us

Straight answers to the ten most common objections — before you ever talk to sales.

Nico answers our most-asked questions in 10 seconds — the full FAQ is below.

What if a customer’s bike gets damaged?
<p>The system is engineered so this doesn’t happen: a calibrated low-pressure spray and gentle EASYClick foam/PE Mylex brushes that never exceed pressure levels safe for electronics and delicate materials — field-proven on 1,000,000+ washed bikes. cycleWASH® is DEKRA safety-certified and protected by 36 international patents. That track record keeps the wash process uncritical from an insurance standpoint; our team is happy to walk through liability details with your quote.</p>
What does maintenance really cost per year?
<p>Fully predictable: the annual maintenance contract is <strong>€1,000/year for Mini and Station</strong> and <strong>€1,500/year for Pro</strong> — covering routine maintenance plus a phone hotline (Mon–Fri). Wear parts such as brushes, hoses, filters, pumps, roller-drive motors, and drive belts are consumables and billed separately.</p>
What happens in winter / frost?
<p>All models are designed for indoor and outdoor installation and are weatherproof. For outdoor operation below freezing, the water circuit should be drained down or kept frost-free — many operators simply move the machine indoors or pause operation for the season. Our team confirms the right frost-protection setup for your location with your quote.</p>
Can it wash e-bikes safely?
<p>Yes. The calibrated low-pressure spray system is specifically designed for e-bikes and carbon frames. Unlike pressure washers, it never exceeds pressure levels that are safe for electronics, drive units, and delicate surfaces — suspension components and electronic groupsets included.</p>
What warranty do I get?
<p>Limited warranty per our <a href="/pages/terms-and-conditions-of-sale">Terms & Conditions</a>. Wear parts (brushes, hoses, filters, pumps, roller-drive motors, drive belts) are excluded. When you sign a maintenance contract, an extended warranty of 1–5 years — matching the contract period — is available.</p>
How long does on-site installation take?
<p>The Mini needs no complex installation — place it, connect it, wash. OASIS stations are installed on-site by our team (2–3 days, white-glove service with dedicated freight). Every quote includes a detailed installation plan; production lead time is typically 2–4 weeks.</p>
How much water and power does it use?
<p>Very little: the Mini uses about <strong>3 litres per wash</strong>, the Pro around 10 litres — up to 90% less than a manual hose wash. The closed water circuit with recycling reclaims up to 85% of the water. For off-grid sites, solar models with a LiFePO4 battery bank deliver 20–40 washes per charge.</p>
Purchase, rent, lease, or franchise?
<p><strong>Purchase:</strong> full upfront, 50/50 split, or NET 30/60/90 for qualified buyers. <strong>Lease:</strong> flexible financing via Sharpei. <strong>Rent:</strong> flexible rental options for seasonal and event operation. <strong>Franchise:</strong> partner program with a standard 3-year term and purchase option.</p>
How fast does it pay back?
<p>It depends on your wash price and traffic: at €3 per wash and 50 washes/day, a Mini generates roughly €4,500/month in revenue — typical payback is 8–18 months. Run your own scenario in our <a href="/pages/roi-calculator">ROI calculator</a>.</p>
Which model fits my location?
<p><strong>Mini</strong> — compact and mobile: bike shops, events, hotels, smaller footprints. <strong>Pro</strong> — fully automatic for high traffic: bike parks, large dealers, rental fleets. <strong>Station / OASIS</strong> — infrastructure for municipalities and urban sites. Compare all models on the <a href="/pages/cyclewash-bike-cleaning-machines">machines overview</a>. One operating note: never clean the machine itself with a pressure washer.</p>
